Oregon's Willamette Valley is best known for our amazing pinot noir, but this region produces some of the world's best Chardonnay as well. Our climate is cooler than Northern California and warmer than Burgundy France, giving us the best of both worlds. Chardonnays with bright acidity and delightful green and white fruited notes, but without the overly oaky-buttery flavors and textures often associated with hot climate California Chardonnay.
2021 and 2023 were both exceptional vintages, with warm, sunny days and cool nights. The 2021s were made by Lenne's original winemaker, Steve Lutz. The 2023 is the first vintage of Lenne Chardonnay made by our new winemaker, Jared Etzel.
