A Holiday gift pack of our most beautiful pinot noir. "Cinq Elus" translates as "five selected" and it's the single best barrel of each of the five pinot noir clones from our vineyard, selected by winemaker Steve Lutz. Cinq Elus is only made in exceptional vintages, and there are only 125 cases per year.
This package contains three bottles of Cinq Elus, selected from 2017, 2019, or 2021. We recommend the vertical with one bottle from each year, but customers can customize it to any 3 bottles of Cinq Elus at the same discounted price. Just list the years you want in the comments box when you make your order.
- 2017 Cinq Elus pinot noir, $95 retail. A delicate vintage upon release, the years of bottle aging have created a gorgeous sophistication of flavors and textures. Raspberry sherbert and vanilla notes, with tart black fruit and a soothing finish.
- 2019 Cinq Elus pinot noir, $90 retail. A moderate and damp summer yielded dense, earthy, Burgundian wines. Rich fruit, black cherry, herbal aromatics, roasted mushroom, with a savory finish.
- 2021 Cinq Elus pinot noir, $85 retail. Record heat forged bold, fruit-forward wines. Dark fruit, blackberry preserves, jammy aromatics, soft mouthfeel with red currants and black raspberry.
We poured this three year Cinq Elus vertical over Labor Day weekend in our tasting room, and saw exceptional response. (Too much, we sold out of the 2017s and 2019s and had to issue rain checks!) So we wanted to offer the same great package and price for the 2024 Holiday season.
