A fruit-forward, juicy, sumptuous wine from a hot vintage. This wine was sourced from the middle elevation of our hillside vineyard, with all five clones blended to create a rich, dense, textured wine.
- On the nose: Red cherry, violets, raspberry, and strawberry. .
- In the mouth: Candied fruit, black currants, soft oak, with a tart, tangy finish.
Vintage Notes
The 2023 growing season was ideal. A mild Spring eased into a hot Summer with a large fruit set of very healthy grapes. The vines were thriving in our second year as a fully organic vineyard, and it was great to see them rebound with an abundance of latent energy after a small fruit set from the damp and difficult 2022 crop. We harvested over a week from September 18-24; which is right in our typical picking window.
Expect bold, fruit-forward wines with excellent balance of fruit, acidity, and tannins from this exceptional vintage.
