European Wine Cruises

Lenné Estate founders Steve and Karen Lutz host a luxury wine-themed European cruise every year, and you are invited to join them!  Cruises include amazing food, excursions to area wineries, opportunities to socialize with Lenne's founders and other wine fans, winemaker hosted dinners, and much more. These are not Lenné events; just great outings organized by our winery's former owners.

Past Cruises

Danube Cruise, March 2023

This AMA Waterways Wine Cruise sailed from Vilshofen Germany along the majestic Danube eastward to Budapest, with stops in small UNESCO wine towns, Abbeys, castles and famous imperial cities such as Vienna.  We finish in Budapest, with the opportunity to explore that amazing city as well as the famous Tokaj wine region, and then there will be options for a custom extension to Croatia and Slovenia.

As the Wine Host for the cruise, Steve presented 3 wine tastings on the ship, exploring the famous wines of the area that might be unfamiliar to many of us.  AMA Waterways also created a dinner paired to Lenné wines, so we had the best of both worlds during on our week aboard.

Rhine Cruise, November 2021

After the 2020 cruise was cancelled due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, we returned to the Rhine during the Fall of 2020.  This cruise took guests down the Rhine, from Basel to Amsterdam, from November 11th to 18th.

AMA is an upscale river cruise line, whose focus areas are wine, food and active travel. They do offer more comfort, the option of larger cabins and a separate Chef’s Table dining room where we are sure to have a dinner “just for us” on one night of the cruise.  The price includes not only wifi, meals, excursions, beer and wine at meals, but also a cocktail hour each evening before dinner in their spacious lounge.  Plus since this is a wine cruise, there will be more winery visits and tastings among the included excursions.

What will Steve be doing as a “wine host?”  Presenting 3 tastings while on board (local wines, Lenné wines, and some fun games) plus Lenné wines will be featured during a special 5-course dinner during the cruise.

We’d love for you to join us on what is sure to be a fantastic trip full of new insights and new friends. Click the images below to see the full sized brochure pages.
